Sam set out in her adult life not knowing what she wanted to be when she "grew up". She graduated from the Primary Paramedic Program in 2017, but knew this was not a long-term position for her sensitive, kind soul. Sam has dabbled in a few different jobs since- Park Maintenance for Sask Gov't, Oil change technician, Medical Laboratory Assistant, and most recently, prior to starting at Gem Denture Clinic, Sam worked as a Direct Support Worker; aiding adults who live with physical and intellectual disabilities in a group home setting. Sam was the "House Mom" or home supervisor, caring deeply for everyone she crossed paths with. After 4 years in the caregiving field, it came time for a change of pace. Sam found herself in the reception chair of Gem Denture Clinic, being amazed at the dedication and genuine care that the fine ladies in the clinic put into each and every denture case they do.
Sam is on the phones, runs our sterilization room, coordinates patient appointments and insurance. Sam is always ready to greet each patient with a warm smile, a listening ear and some witty humour.
